Amalia joined the Foundation in the Fall of 2013. She has worked in government and with international organizations to improve services to children and youth at-risk for negative outcomes. Amalia served as collaborative coordinator and interim director of the Children’s Mental Health Division of the Minnesota Department of Human Services. She served as research officer for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and more recently as a technical assistance coordinator for the Technical Assistance Partnership for Child and Family Mental Health for the SAMHSA Systems of Care program. Amalia has a Master’s in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota and a law degree from the Catholic University of Peru.
