Agenda

Featuring State Sen. Stephen Meredith as the Keynote Speaker!

Meredith spent decades working in the healthcare administration field before being elected to the Kentucky State Senate in 2016. His career started at a 100-bed long term care facility in his hometown of Leitchfield, Kentucky. By the age of 29, Meredith was named the Chief Executive Officer of what is now called Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. During his tenure at the hospital, the facility grew from having 90 employees and 7 doctors on its medical staff to having over 500 employees and 34 active staff physicians. Upon Meredith’s retirement from the hospital, Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center was one of top four financially strongest hospitals under 100 beds in Kentucky. In addition to his duties as the CEO of Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, he was also the CEO of the hospital’s Medical Foundation, which was the sister corporation responsible for employment of the majority of their medical practitioners and managing their respective practices.

Meredith currently serves as the Chair of the Kentucky Senate’s Health Services Committee; Co-Chair of the Government Contract Review Committee; and a member of the Veterans, Military Affairs and Public Protection Committee, the Education Committee, and the newly formed Family and Children Committee. Meredith lives in Grayson County with his wife, Karen. They are the proud parents to two sons and grandparents to seven children.
