Health for a Change: Preventing Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are one of the most common chronic conditions among young people. They can affect anyone, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic status, or body shape and size. Despite how common and serious eating disorders can be, stigma and misconceptions still make it difficult to talk openly about them or recognize when someone may be struggling.

This webinar will explore how we can better understand, recognize, and prevent eating disorders, while creating more informed and supportive conversations around eating, body image and health.

Speaker:

Kate Overberg, LCSW

Youth Co-occurring Treatment Program Administrator

Staff, Kentucky Eating Disorder Council

Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental & Intellectual Disabilities
