New Board members, leadership takes helm at Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (January 31, 2023) – The new year brings new members and leadership slate to the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky’s Board of Directors. New members include Stephanie Gastauer of Maysville, Mike Slaton of Louisville, and Tommy Turner of Hodgenville.

Board Chair Marianne Smith Edge, Owensboro

The Board is responsible for establishment and oversight of Healthy Kentucky’s financial, program, and policy activities.

Marianne Smith Edge, RDN takes the reins as Board Chair. She is principal and founder of The AgriNutrition Edge and is based in Owensboro.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a board that is focused on improving the health of all Kentuckians,” Smith Edge said. “I look forward to continuing the Foundation’s work in the areas of access to care and children health and focusing our efforts to reduce disparities and promote health equity throughout the commonwealth.” 

In addition, the following Directors will serve in leadership roles:

Vice Chair Dr. Lawrence Prybil, Lexington

Secretary Dr. Wayne Tuckson, Louisville

Treasurer Tracey Antle, Russell Springs

Immediate Past Chair Clifford Maesaka, Jr., Louisville
