Kentuckians’ Opportunity to Share their Experiences with the White House
The White House wants to know Americans’ real experiences with hunger, nutrition and health. This meeting will provide insights to the White House national Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health about Kentuckians’ thoughts and experiences with the following topics:
Food access
Food cost
Good nutrition at home, school and in the community
Impact of nutrition on obesity, diabetes, etc.
Supporting farmers
Pandemic response
Climate change
The White House national Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health is only the second of its kind in U.S. history. Previously, the 1969 White House Conference on Food, Nutrition and Health was informed by ‘60s social disruption and led to important federal food and nutrition programming. This 2022 conference is a historic opportunity for the voices of many to be heard in addressing inequities in our food chain and security an equitable and healthful food future for all.
